Scoring Process
Scores will be based on 100 points
per Scoring Judge. For WCA Nationals and Open Championship competitions scores from the two competition will be combined to determine the Champion. Scores from each
performance will be weighted equally 50/50.
Score Forms and Rankings
WCA Nationals and Open Championship scoreforms will be distributed after the first
performance - approximately two hours after the division ends, squad rankings
will also be included. Second performance scoreforms and rankings will be
distributed at awards.

Judging Panels WCA has
selected an impartial panel of nationally recognized cheer and dance experts
to judge. They represent some of the most talented and experienced coaches, choreographers, cheerleaders and dancers in the nation. We our judges from all over
the United States to represent a variety of cheerleading styles from different parts of
the country. The judging panels will consist of a head judge, scoring judges and
infraction judges.
Head Judge Responsible for presiding over the panel to aid in timeliness, accuracy and handling of any judging questions.
Scoring Judges Responsible for scoring each squads performance based on 100 points per score sheet. When five or more judges are used, the high and low scores are
dropped.
Infraction Judges Responsible for determining and assessing all point deductions for Perfection of Routine and Competition Rule Violations. These penalty points will be deducted from the subtotal of the remaining scores to reach the grand total.
